Effective 7 November 2026
These terms cover your use of avaforhomeservices.com, the Ava demo, demo bookings and the forms on this site. Ava for Home Services is an industry service by AssistCall, a Starling Global product ("we", "us"). A live Ava service is governed by your written agreement with us and the AssistCall Terms of Service. If anything here conflicts with your written agreement, the agreement wins.
Booking a demo or sending a request
- Booking a demo, asking for a pilot or sending a message does not create a subscription, reserve a phone number, guarantee a feature or authorize any charge.
- Pricing is agreed with you after the demo call. Fees, included usage, service scope, support, cancellation and any trial are set out in a written offer that you approve before anything is switched on.
- Give accurate business contact details. We may need to move a booked time, and we will tell you by email if we do.
The demo
- The demo is for trying Ava with a business profile built from public information. Use fictional caller details only: no real customer names, addresses, access codes or payment details.
- The demo cannot book visits, dispatch technicians, take payments, send messages or update your systems, and nothing said in it is a promise of service.
- Demo calls and chats are time-limited and the demo is deleted after 24 hours. We may limit or stop demos to prevent misuse.
- Do not use the demo to impersonate a business you are not authorized to represent, to test illegal scripts or to try to break the service.
What Ava does in a live service
Features marked Live on this site are available today within the scope you agree: answering calls on your chosen schedule, capturing job details, following your on-call routing, booking routine visits into one tested schedule, answering from facts you approve, and recordings, transcripts and summaries in your AssistCall account. Features marked Planned, such as connections to ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro or Jobber and text updates to your customers, are not part of your service until we confirm them in writing after testing.
Limits that matter in home services
- Not an emergency service. Ava does not replace 911, the fire department or the gas utility. For reports of a gas smell, carbon monoxide alarm, electrical burning smell, sparking, flooding near electrics or structural roof damage, Ava gives the safety instruction you approve, such as leaving the property and calling 911 or the utility, and then follows your on-call path.
- No diagnosis or technical advice. Ava does not diagnose faults, judge whether something is safe, or advise callers on repairs, pesticide use or electrical work.
- No automatic dispatch. A job is only accepted when a member of your team accepts it. Ava does not promise arrival times or availability unless you have supplied a current, approved status.
- Prices only as approved. Ava shares only the prices and fee policies you give it, and does not estimate repairs, replacements or roof work.
- No payments. Ava never takes card details on a call.
- No verification. Ava does not verify a caller's identity, property ownership, warranty or maintenance agreement status unless a tested connection to your records is in place.
Your responsibilities as a customer
- Give Ava accurate information about your services, service area, hours, prices and policies, keep your on-call rota current and review what Ava tells callers.
- Tell callers that calls are recorded where the law requires it and get any consent needed. Some states require every party to consent.
- Ava answers inbound calls. Any outbound calls or texts to your customers must meet the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, state telemarketing laws and carrier rules, including consent records and registration. You are responsible for consent you collect.
- Hold the licenses, permits, registrations and insurance your trade and state require. Ava does not confirm any of them to callers unless you supply the approved wording.
- Do not instruct Ava to collect alarm or lockbox codes, full card numbers, Social Security numbers or other information it does not need.
- Do not use Ava for unlawful, deceptive or abusive purposes.
AI limitations
Ava uses the Ava AI engine to understand callers and reply. AI can mishear a caller, misunderstand a request or give an incomplete answer. Test before forwarding calls, set transfers for calls that need a person and review summaries and transcripts.
Your data
You own the business information, contacts and call data in your account. We use it only to provide and improve the service, as described in the privacy notice for this site and the AssistCall privacy policy.
Website content
Guides, checklists, dashboards and examples on this site are general information. Example businesses, calls and figures are fictional and labelled "Example". Nothing on this site is engineering, electrical, safety, legal or financial advice. Do not copy the site's content or designs for commercial use without permission.
Availability and liability
We work to keep the site, the demo and the service running but do not promise they will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent the law allows, the site and demo are provided "as is", and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits or missed jobs. Liability for a live service is set out in your written agreement and the AssistCall Terms of Service.
Changes
We may update these terms. We will change the effective date above, and for significant changes that affect customers we will give notice by email.
